| Posted on: Nov 23 2006 at 02:33:12 AMVisitors to Newcastle Harbour on Saturday morning could have been forgiven for thinking they were seeing double with the appearance of two Mersey class all weather lifeboats at the local RNLI station. The presence of the two boats didn't mean a doubling of Newcastle's rescue capacity, however.Instead it marked the return of the RNLI base's permanent all-weather boat, The Eleanor and Bryant Girling, and the departure of a temporary relief vessel, which hand been based there during the main boat's absence.
